I do like that idea--wonder if it would be possible to pool the carbon offset assets of us Possumblog readers so that shares in our carbon offsets could be traded and sold by the likes of Messrs Gore and Edwards?

I think it's a great idea! Goes right well with my plan to offer virtual acupuncture via e-mail!

I still think there might be a market for “ethical” offsets.

I think you might want to send the carbon indulgence name to someone like the instapundit. It needs wide distribution.

By George, Terry's right! I really did not think it would be original (for one thing, I NEVER have an original thought) but try Googling "Carbon Indulgences" and see what you get. It appears it has been in use on various blogs for several months at least. So much for Instalanches...
