It is about that time.

Well, almost.

Anyway, the weekend is fast approaching, and lots of it. Tonight we're going over to the stadium to see the hometown Huskies take on the good folks from Pell City. We haven't been to either of the first two games this year, so it'll be nice to get out and see what there is to be seen. (Or to try to avert my eyes from things I shouldn't see.)

Tomorrow, grass cutting, as usual, and watching the Auburn game to see if my prediction is right, and then the girls and Mama are supposed to go do some kind of thing with the girls at church. Something where they go off to a boutique and make bath stuff. I don't know what it is, other than an excuse to spend money on frivolous smell-goody things, rather than necessary and important items such as junk Volvo parts.

Sunday, lots of goings on and meetings and such like--and maybe even something spiritually uplifting! Amazing, I know!

SO, all of you be good and do good and I'll see you back here come Monday.

Hi, Terry, win I war at 'Bamie in the oily 60s All-barn was known as Alabama Polytech. I noticed you mentioned Pell City--I knew a girl from there name of Laurel Ann and wondered if you knew her, last I knew she and her mother taught in the public schools.

I love to read the rantings of a good writer & you are one of the best I've seen (despite the intentional malaprops and obvious love of the despised plainsmen [are doo they ever use that now?])

Mah daughter started Bamie this fall much to my surprise (we live in Georgia) and tried out for and made the Crimson Caberet. I am bookmarking your site--hope you don't mind a lot of innane comments.

Hey, Stephen--what's this about intentional malaprops?

Thanks for stopping by and by all means, continue to do so, inane or not. Surely you won't mind wearing this lovely blue and orange shirt and pants, right? Of course not! (And congratulations to your daughter, even if she'd be better off as one of the Tiger Paws.)

As for Pell City, I know several people who teach (or taught) in the St. Clair system--give me a shout via email and we'll see if any of them are the same ones you know.
