I wonder--

Actors with "incredible swimmer's bod[ies]" are encouraged to apply.

So goes a current casting notice for a possible WB series about underwater overachiever Aquaman, according to the fansite AquamanTV.com.

Ideally, the future Arthur Curry--that's Aquaman's alter ego--also should be between "18-24 years old, [have] blond or light brown hair [and, of course, be] drop-dead handsome," the site said, quoting the announcement. [...]

As a reminder, I am still available for the role of superhero Possum-Man.

Don't I wish! As it is, I have to make do with humming the theme from Bonanza.

Does anyone imagine that there is a big demand for an Aquaman movie? I had pretty much forgotten him until Frank J. mentioned him.

Aquaman movie? It would be a change of pace, getting out of Gotham - big city superheroes, and going underwater. I caught "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" (too busy to link!) last weekend, and it was interesting to see the Van Allen belts wreaking havoc on the Earth. Frankie Avalon and Barbara Eden get all sweaty, but not with each other.

I've also heard rumors about a movie featuring the Submariner (Namor). Now that was one "bad" fish-dude!

I can swim, too, you know.

Hey and Possumman dosen't need a utility belt, you have a utility pouch! Could be interesting when you hang upside down.

Well, it was until I started fastening all of my crime-fighting tools onto those little keychain reels like janitors wear.

Kewl! also a good solution to those moments when the good guy loses his gun and both he and the villian try to get it. Possum Man can calmly and coolly reel them in.
