::sigh::

Good grief--is there not ANYthing that SOMEone won't find "insensitive" or "offensive"!?

Producers: 'Cavemen' not racial metaphor

When you get this upset about some stupid teevee show that will last approximately eight episodes before being cancelled (because it's based on a mildly entertaining, but entirely one-dimensional, advertising concept) it makes it hard to believe you when something that actually IS bigoted shows up.

As for the show, Cirroc, the Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer was there first, and did it better.

Your blog frightens, and confuses me.

Hey, join the club.

(And lest anyone get offended, I'm not talking about the type of club you guys use to bonk women on the head with.)

If they keep up with this racist junk I think I'll have an existential ... uh ... meltdown.

[Would Dr. Possum offer therapy sessions - just in case there is a meltdown? What's his normal and customary fee?]

Probably so, Marc. He's very interested in that sort of thing. As for customary fees, I don't know, but he'd probably be willing to work for food.

Maybe Doc should check with the guy with Pork Chop pants (cowboys, I assume, wear Pork Chaps?)? Assuming the tiger hasn't eaten him yet.

Oh - and being based on a one-dimensional ad campaign makes it at least 90 times more thoughtful than the rest of TV.

"Pork chaps" just sounds so very, very nasty...

It is amazing what some people come up with. Years ago on a bluegrass music board one guy from up north complained about some song about “bigfoot.’ He knew it was southern racial slang. We all told him it was new to us but he was a yankee and he knew what was going on. Maybe he was right but I had never heard it—the cave man thing either.

Probably says a lot more about the mental makeup of the person making the accusations than it does about the person being accused. Then again, what do I know?

Brokeback cowboys wear "pork chaps."
