Woo hoo! Is it true that UAH's hockey team is better than UATs?

I'm not sure--it sounds a bit like trying to determine who is the world's tallest midget.

I have sporadically followed what UAH has done over the years in hockey--and they have actually built a reasonably good program. They have a History page on their site that gives a good overview.

Admittedly I cannot get used to a college in Alabama playing competent hockey.

Especially since the students keep chopping up the ice in the rink trying to turn it into a giant bowl of hunch punch.

Hockey is one of those sports where schools you don't think of as athletic powerhouses are often dominant: Renssalaer, Boston U, Lake Superior St., anyone? http://www.ncaasports.com/icehockey/mens/history/divi

Lacrosse is worse. Johns Hopkins http://hopkinssports.cstv.com/school-bio/jhop-quick-facts.html is huge, but they're division III in other sports. Towson, which is at least also division I in basketball, is also a big deal.

So there's hope for UAH.
