On a more serious note.

I'll be at home tomorrow celebrating Independence Day. It's nice to have a day off, but it's worth remembering that had it not been for a brave few souls 231 years ago, you might be having to read this in English.

As I watched the programs on the History channel last night it finally dawned on me; the leaders of the revolution were elites who were not elitists. Wish we had some of them now.

Amen to that. They were liberals in the best sense, and it would be nice to have a few more of them around. Or for the folks who consider themselves liberal now to study them a bit more closely.

There is something over at “outside the beltway” about Broder basically blaming the immigration mess on the masses. Elitists have never listened and never will. They tend to be al mouth and no ears.
