SO I SAW THIS LIST OF Father's Day gift suggestions and while there's nothing wrong with it, I wonder if anyone would post a list of Mother's Day gift suggestions that consisted of things like vacuum cleaners, stoves, and mops. But tools and grills for dads are different, somehow. Why?
Just in case this isn't a rhetorical question, I would say my years of research lead me to believe it's because guys like this kind of stuff. Posted by Terry Oglesby at June 1, 2007 02:53 PMI was wondering myself whether Prof. Reynolds was joking, as I realize probably most guys (80% perhaps?) do like those things. But perhaps he is like me (and probably more so in that he is much more accomplished at it) much more interested in books and academic type stuff. That list to which you linked, believe it or not, has absolutely no appeal to me whatsoever.
Yeah, I know, how un-American of me. (ha)
Posted by: Stan at June 1, 2007 03:02 PMNot un-American, sir, but flatout unmanly. I am shocked to my soles.
Posted by: Janis Gore at June 1, 2007 03:14 PMAcademic stuff such as...
DRINKING PUPPY SMOOTHIES AND KILLING RANDOM HOBOS!?
You intellectual sorts frighten me.
