Quote of the Day

"It is a very nice school, but it is not gold-plated..."

My friend, for this much money, it danged well better be.

WOW! I guess your kids will be attending the "University of Trussville." Probably other local governments will now launch new building initiatives in order to keep up.

I just hope we'll be able to have enough money left over to hire teachers to work there.

Who needs teachers?! The students of tomorrow will be self-guided by internet "smartenin'" and ever-improving Googling skills. Hey, if they're going to get their essays and term papers off of the net, might as well go all the way. Do kids even bother with Cliffs Notes nowadays?

There's some toughs from the teacher's union here to have a "talk" with you, Marc.

Screw 'em. Let's cut to the chase and just put PCs running Wikipedia in the seats. (And yes, I am home & recovering. And blogging.)

I hope a "handicapped" Skinnydan can at least give me some cover from the union ruffians.

[And I originally started my first comment with "We don't need no stinkin' teachers!", but thought it could be perceived as a little non-PC. Teachers are nice people - I'm married to one now, though I have to wonder where the public schools are heading.]
