Believe it or not...

...right now, right outside my window, are Sheryl Crow, Sofia Vergara, and Mariska Hargitay.

Well, not actually them, but great big pictures of them on the side of a tractor trailer.

Seems the "got milk?" folks are in town for a stop on their nationwide tour, but regrettably I will be unable to attend the festivities, seeing as how they have not yet perfected Diet Coke flavored milk.

I would be more than willing to visit, however, were Sheryl, Sofia, or Mariska actually here, maybe handing out samples or signing autographs or professing their undying love for slow-witted semi-arboreal North American marsupials.

Getya a 2 L. bottle of Diet Coke. Open and pour out half of it. Get a quart of skim milk. Open it and slowly/carefully pour into the Diet Coke bottle. Replace cap, refrigerate for 100 minutes, then pour into cup filled with cracked ice.

Goes great with Cornaguins!

{Diet Moke?]

If I did that, I fear people would mistake me for Laverne De Fazio.

Only if you wore a ping fuzzy sweater with a "P" monogrammed on the right pectoral side.

And if you had a weird-funny laugh.

Err, umm, surely that's supposed to be pink.

And don't call me Shirley!

Posted by: Marc V at April 5, 2007 01:19 PM

As I said--much too close to keep people from making the association.

I have to ask the obvious: "free samples of what?"

Posted by: Cletus at April 5, 2007 01:33 PM

And I must respond with the obvious answer--"It really wouldn't matter."

I would go tremendously out of my way to avoid Sheryl Crow.

Alas, it appears I will not get the opportunity to either avoid her, nor partake of her samples. They're packing everything back into the trailer now, and in only a few more minutes, she and the other two will be going on to the next stop in the 'burbs south of downtown.

Skinnydan, I'm with you. As for Mariska, OTOH, (and I admit I don't know her politics) really works for me!

Posted by: Nate at April 5, 2007 03:04 PM

Well, I have to say that although I dislike Ms. Crow's general political leanings, it does make me have a warm smile all over when I think that all of her liberal buddies are probably aghast that she's in the thrall of the evil Bovine Lactation Lobby (i.e. Big Milk) AND evil Clairol, (i.e., Big Cosmetics, who torture baby animals and objectify womyn). I figure anyone who's that big a corporate sell-out can't be all bad.

Per Mariska:

Mamacita!

And lest I be accused of disliking the lushly proportioned Miss Hargitay, I did a little research.

Number of photos of Miss Crow saved on computer: 0

Number of photos of Miss Hargitay saved on computer: 47 billion

Believe it or not, it's Ms. Crow's "music", not her politics, that bother me.

Posted by: skinnydan at April 5, 2007 08:31 PM

Wow--well, then, forget everything I said!
