I am a bad person.

I just keep missing The Jack Bauer Show, and I know how much some of you crave my action-packed recaps of the previous evening's show. Part of the problem is the constant back and forth of taking Boy to Scouts and back, and trying to eat supper, and also watching Heroes, which, as you all recall, includes a cheerleader.

If there was only some way--some device or machine of some sort--whereby television shows could be recorded and played back at a later date...

What, your angelic children have not reminded you of their NEED for an iPod-Zune-PVP (personal video player) yet?!? How long must you let them suffer in deprivation!?!

If they don't get them they will have no chance of even approaching coolness, and thus be relegated to the outcasts, the wretched refuse, the great unwashed of not-cool kids. Oh the humanity!

Oh sure - it's only because of your recaps I started watching at all. Lileks has a bit of a recap, fairly accurate in what facts there are. The only developments of note: Jack will torture his brother if needed, but it really bothers him (Jack); Jack's dad, however, will kill one of his sons (not Jack) without raising his blood pressure. Morris is the guy the terrorists want to create new triggers for the nukes. Mrs. Grey-Haired boss is on a plane to CA, which will no doubt be shot out of the sky in some future hour. President-can't-act-worth-a-darn reiterates that he WILL NOT sign order 1066 (interesting choice of number, that) to deprive all citizens of their rights for the good of the country.

Marc, is that anything like one of those nifty transistor radios I've heard about?

Sorry, Diane--I feel like I'm letting everyone down by not detailing Jack's various exploits and splosions and junk. And it's not like I can even give a good recap of the OTHER show, either.

Who needs a Zune when you have Diane? She should be working for TV Guide or something.

No, they're ten times more expensive and likely to break.

What happened to Rudy the Hobbit?

He got gassed last year when they ordered in Taco Bell.

I'm not nearly as entertaining as Terry, and there are holes in my commentary, as my mind tends to drift when Jack is onscreen.

My mind drifts when he's onscreen and not shooting at anyone.
