As I noted yesterday evening, I need some birthday present suggestions for Miss Reba. This is what we've got so far:
Sparkly things, a trip to the spa, flowers, 500 parrots, a fake dragon tattoo, some pie, a new oven and a fancy set of copper cookware, a different-coloured Volvo, top line chocolates, an oven where the "broil" setting is actually only 350, and a $100 pair of shoes.
Any others?
Posted by Terry Oglesby at January 24, 2007 11:12 AMTime with you? Prearrange one Friday night of kid-sitting with grandparents, while you and Miss Reba head out for dinner, movies, concerts, walks in the park all on your lonesome. Heck, you do know that you don't actually HAVE to stay overnight in the hotel room...
This is probably best accompanied by a sparkly thing to appease the "it's my birthday and I want something now" tradition, but I personally like the kind of gifts that involve some anticipation...

Posted by: Diane at January 24, 2007 11:32 AMA full body massage.
Or if that's immodest for her, a spa day. Without oldest.
Posted by: Janis Gore at January 25, 2007 10:19 AMA Thumper Pro Massager combined with a date night.
Plus the Thumper could come in useful if Rebecca gets stiff from soccer, or any of the rest of you could use a pounding.
If I didn't like my sister so well, I'd regret letting her take the one I bought for my mother.
Posted by: Janis Gore at January 25, 2007 10:28 AMWell, I was thinking...Remember those Lexus commercials they run around Christmas where some proud guy leaves a shiny new Lexus with a shiny new red bow tied around it for his wife to find? You could leave a shiny new Lexus with a shiny new PINK bow tied around it for Reba to find for her birthday!
