Good Morning!

Back at it again after a nice, quiet, uncontroversial meeting this morning.

Well, I guess you're all anxiously awaiting my take on the elections yesterday, so here goes:

1) I think this pretty much sinks George Bush's chances for a third term.

2) We have finally determined exactly how incompetent Republicans must be for Democrats to be able to win anything.

3) The Democrats who DID win are there only because Karl Rove wants them there. They need to watch their attitudes.

4) Murderous terrorists and their enablers/defenders will finally have something to be happy about, at least for a little while, and goodness knows they need something to be happy about. I predict that for the next few weeks, car bombs will be loaded not only with nails and ball bearings, but candy and flower petals, too!

5) The flying monkeys released from Pelosi's office were a bit of an overkill.

6) John F. Kerrydy pronounced Teddy Kennedy the greatest Senator of all time, which I think probably is his way of saying he wants to be his running mate in '08. They'd make a lovely couple.

So, there you are.

Comments

I commented at Revolvoblog. I admit that I am not a regular reader there since my own idiot projects are enough for me so I am a couple of months late with my comment.

Also, how long do you think it will take for the new guys to figure out that taking the wheel without a plan isn't necessarily a good thing for the party.

The new guys have a plan, its to question everything that's happened while the other guys were in charge with committees and hearings for the next 2 years. Which, to me means that nothing much new will get accomplished.

Imagine that.

And a Kennedy/Kerry ticket in 08? That is truly the scariest thing I can imagine. Except maybe a Clinton/Pelosi ticket.

Thank you, Larry--Revolvoblog has been lonesome of late since I haven't had time to work on anything on the Volvo.

As for plans and such, one is reminded of the quandary the dog found itself in after it actually managed to catch the car it was chasing.

You know there are good points to Dems being up:

In the news --

1) We will no longer have homeless people stacking up on city streets.

2) The economy will instantly be better than it has been in six years.

3) Global warming will be part of a larger systemic phenomenon, with human activity a minor player in the overall scheme.

These will be instant improvements, with more to come as press warms up.

Hmmmm--you know, you're RIGHT, Janis! So many of our problems have instantly been solved. Such as the unreliability of voting machinery--POOF!!--no problems to speak of!

Corruption? Not any more! Just back to good government where decisions aren't made by who gave the most money, but by those who gave the best money!

As has been said elsewhere by those more learned than myself, "I, for one, welcome our new Democratic overlords!"

(I still think the flying monkeys were a bit much. Robots would have been much more hip.)

Hell, hon, right here in Vidalia the sun is shining today!

It was overcast yesterday, and the day before that, too.

See, that's what power can do when it's in the right hands.

I can go you one better--the sun actually came up this morning!

Obviously--we're just pikers when it comes to thinking up good things--here's what President Bush came up with.
