OOOooooh! This sounds--

--tendentious, yet supercilious. Sent by noted musical arts lover Steevil, who also took note of the steallar qualities of one of the guests:

[...] Chuck D, founder of “Public Enemy” and recognized as hip-hop’s most respected intellectual, kicks off the series on Sept. 12. [...]

Steevil notes that such high approbation in this instance is akin to being the the world's tallest midget.

"Protest songs are at the root of every major movement in our history"

Not every protest song nor every movement indicates a benefit to mankind. "Deutschland Uber Alles" comes to mind.

Protest songs have a tendency to the turgid, overwrought, and historically meaningless events. With one exception, naturally.

Turgid?! OVERWROUGHT!? Next you'll be saying that giant papier mache effigies are worthless bits of paper and paste!
