...Nate's rather frightening story reminds me of the old Far Side cartoon--
"Bummer of a birthmark, Hal."
Glad to hear no one was injured, other than Nate's billfold.

That is one of my favorite Far Sides. My boss, when I worked at Yale in the dematological research lab, used it as a slide in one of her presentations on pigmentation.
