Boy, that's the thing you want to see first thing in the morning.

Was just checking through the ol' referrer logs to see what all brought people to Possumblog, and saw this one: how to get possum blood out of carpet.

One shudders to think how that particular turn of events came about...

Whew--Monterey Park, California. Of course, they MIGHT be headed this way...

My question is, did they carpet their garage? Alternatively, how did they get the car into the Living Room. Isn't that the only way Possum expire?

Unless of course the person looking is an EMT - Emergency Marsupial Technician, performing quick-thinking surgery to save a possum?

I have a feeling that a roll of carpet must have fallen off of a truck onto the road. A curious possum happened by, crawled inside, and was then struck by yet another vehicle. A third passer-by saw the carpet roll, thought, "HEY! FREE CARPET!", scooped it up without realizing it still contained a possum carcass, drove home, took it inside, rolled it out onto the floor over there by the TV where the bad place in the floor is, and then discovered the stain and/or roadkill.

Therefore, I would recommend hydrogen peroxide, followed by a good quality carpet shampoo.
