Nice thing about living to the east of where you work?

Well, if it rains about 5:15 every afternoon when you go home, you actually get a nice show with the sun low in the sky behind you as you drive toward the rain clouds--rainbows!

Saw one Tuesday afternoon around the East Lake area that went from one side of the Interstate to the other. It was dramatically bright, I suppose because of the darkness of the clouds behind it, and the colors were quite distinctly refracted. And then, another one yesterday which landed squarely upon my hometown, the Gateway to Happy Living. Same nice contrast and sharp colors, and then, in an even better show due to my change of view as I rounded the curve in the exit ramp, it became a double rainbow. Which I think is pretty cool.

Anyway...

Begorrah, you were so sotted with the beauty that you again failed to locate the pot of gold I suppose.

Somebody got there before me. Which just figures, you know?

And I didn't win the lottery again. It just doesn't seem fair. God is talking to Pat Robertson but you can't find the pot of gold and I don't have good lottery numbers.

And just why is it God wastes his time on a silly peckerwood like Pat Robertson!? And as the Prophet Frank J. (may he be praised) wonders, if the Great I AM is going to speak to you, don't you think you ought to clean out your ears and listen VERY CLOSELY and get it right and quit waffling!?

If God should ever speak to me, I'll either run or listen very closely. I have noticed that having God speak to you is not a portent of good things.

None of the Bible folks appeared to raise a lot of cash based on having spoken to God.

Well, I don't know that it's ALways a bad thing, but you're right--none of those folks seemed to be on the ball enough to parlay these direct contacts into any sort of media conglomerate.

I would like to humbly request that Pat quit being contacted since he seems not to be a reliable passer-on of messages, and a more direct approach be taken where the Lord speaks to angry nutjobs intent on killing everyone who doesn't agree with them, and that He would tell them to cut that mess out and go home and leave everyone alone and quit abusing His name.

Then again, maybe I'm missing something here.
