Clinton-Gore era returns at fundraiser
"...money for nuthin' and your chicks for free..."
Good times; gooood times.
Posted by Terry Oglesby at April 11, 2006 09:00 AMI imagine Gore's line about the guests using their "moral imagination" brought nothing but looks of puzzlement. Though I guess they imagine they have morals...
I, as always, am reminded of other Dire Straits lyrics. This one from a Knopfler solo b-side:
"Freeloader licks my boot
tells me that he digs my suit
you got lucky son, don't get cute
get on the Gravy Train."
Pretty much sums up my feelings about the love affair (irony intended) some people have with Bill & Hill.
Posted by: skinnydan at April 11, 2006 11:21 AMOh, come on, Skinnydan--she's your Senator, and she LOVES you!
Posted by: Terry Oglesby at April 11, 2006 11:27 AMWell, I am so lovable, after all.
Frankly, I consider her (and Chucky) like a bad skin condition that won't go away.
Posted by: skinnydan at April 11, 2006 11:34 AMJust be careful about picking at it or it could spread.
