Transmission Complete.

Took the van in this morning for them to bolt in another transmission, and it appears they have it ready.

And not only that, I also got the deal of the century when they mentioned that I needed a new front motor mount, and they'd replace it for free! If I bought the mount!

::sigh::

It's only money, right?

Right?

Anyway, I'll have to leave in just a moment when the driver comes and picks me up, so I'll see you all tomorrow. And I promise not to fly off the handle about shirt pockets.

Man oh man. Seeing your a Honda owner that means Honda parts. I recken that a good 2-3 grand might cover that mount. I mean everyone knows Honda unobtainium is worth much more than gold or the first born child. Have fun, hear.

I am very confused by this whole story. I thought Hondas were perfect and that nothing ever went wrong with one. Now you tell me yours had a known design flaw and Chef Tony aludes to Honda parts being expensive.

Oh never mind. I think I understand. It's the low volume thing, right?

No, no, Chef Tony--only a measly, paltry, spare-change-in-the-ashtray ONE HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS. Might as well be $2,000. Thankfully, labor was free, since they already had to tear everything apart anyway.

And Larry, I figure I'm doing okay--the Plymouth ate a tranny at 30,000 miles (warranty) and then another one at 80,000 (for which I paid dearly) and by the time I finally sold it, it was quite clear it really needed another one. Still, it pains me to no end. Or in the end.
