GRaaaAGGHHHHH!

RALPH LAUREN IS NOT A MAN!

There, I said it!

Anyone whose line of "men's" clothing includes an oxford cloth button down dress shirt WITHOUT A POCKET cannot claim to be any sort of real man. Or at least a man who actually has to WORK for a living, who can't afford to hire a team of lackeys to stand beside him to hold PENS and NOTES and LOOSE CHANGE!

I've had a lot of stuff to do today, so I'm already cranky, but the fact that the only nice shirt I had left this morning was this stupid Ralph Lauren shirt that DOESN'T HAVE A POCKET has driven me to distraction all day as I keep trying to put stuff in my non-existent shirt pocket.

It does, however, have a little silhouette of a polo rider, who has up to this point not seen fit to at least hold a pen or two with his tiny upraised arm.

Figures.

Snobby elitist.

I think you’re supposed to keep thing in your “man bag.”

I'm sure you have one.

Thank you, but I think I'll just make do by taping an envelope to my chest.

How about a pocket protector and a thumbtack?

Ow. That hurt, Jim--I think you were just trying to make me injure myself! Luckily, I stopped after the first two thumbtacks.

I’m just trying to recreate the fun and hilarity of the frozen biscuit episode. Sorry but sometimes comedy is painful.

Don't I know it.

At least you have pants pockets. It's actually not too easy to find professional looking women's clothes with any pockets, anywhere. You just get used to keeping the pen in your hand all the time.

You're right, Ninaradio, and I never have understood that at all--EVERYONE needs pockets. Of course, it's probably a bit harder to design something like a shirt that looks nice for a girl because of the rather obvious architectural differences, but I have never understood the reasoning behind NOT putting pockets in skirts or slacks. I don't think women would fill them up like guys do with car keys and wallets and pocket knives and grenades and such, but still it would be nice to have a place for pens and some change.
