You know, this is pretty darned hard to beat.

Fall, with all its suddenly vibrant colors (as I told you about last week) and to top it off, a record-setting 82 degrees yesterday. And more of the same today.

Certainly beats gray, damp, and cold.

I got your cold, gray & damp! Here, today. Right now. Its ugly outside my window right now, dreary and threatening. Snow forecast for the mountains but no significant amount and none for the valley.

It is so nice today we're going to the zoo and having a picnic.

Oh and did you see the fall colors we have over at my place?

Posted by: Sarah G. at November 8, 2005 10:15 AM

Here in Dallas, it's gray, damp, and HOT! The high is supposed to be a record-breaking 90. Alas! We are stuck in the never-ending summer!

But the leaves are indeed very pretty!!

Nate, thank you for keeping that mess out there with you. If you want, you can go ahead and just have it for keeps.

Sarah, yes I did! Seems everyone's having a good tree year.

And Angie, somehow it doesn't seem fair to have balmy AND gray. You have my condolences. Now I'm going to go frolic!

Where is fall—if I wanted perpetual warm weather I would move somewhere else. This string of 15 degrees above normal just ain’t well normal.

Yes, but it extends the time before the co-eds start dressing in great huge layers of sweatshirts and sweatpants. Surely that must count for something.

Daytime highs here in the Baltimore-Washington area still holding at mid 60s to low 70s. Trees are turning now, though.

I take no notice of the coeds-- that is my official position and will not be moved from it.

It's always good to have a policy like that. Plausible deniability and all.

When did this turn into PossumWeather? And can you deep fry it?

Posted by: skinnydan at November 8, 2005 03:05 PM

Well, I'm not sure. But I'm willing to find out...

Posted by: Terry Oglesby at November 8, 2005 03:28 PM

For once, I'm kinda looking forward to some cooler weather. The little boy in my belly has depressed ideal temps for me into the 60s, tops. But then, I don't suppose YOU would KNOW what it's like to be PREGNANT, WOULD you, Terry?

Don't you love pregnancy-induced belligerance?

Posted by: Lenise at November 9, 2005 11:25 AM

Oh, I might not know, but I certainly have felt the effects of the belligerance. Not from Reba, obviously. OTHER pregnant women, maybe, but not her.
