Fortune Cookie Wisdom of the Day!

I usually do this on Wednesdays, but doggone it, I just thought I needed to get out and go get some encouragement and MSG from Chan Lee. (The joint over in the food court, not the guy named Chan Lee.)

Quite busy today, but obviously it was well worth it.

First up:

You display the wonderful traits of charm and courtesy.

You know, that is just so true. Those mystical inscrutable Chinese sure are something else smart. But I know it's true because friends are always coming up to me and saying, "Hey, Terry." And I say, "Yes?" because that's the courteous thing to do, and they say, "You sure are charming and courteous. Those are both wonderful traits, you know." And I say, "Thank you! I KNOW!" And really, just because they're imaginary friends, that shouldn't diminish what they have to say, right? Right.

Next up--

Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind.

Hmm. I suppose we're in trouble, then, huh.

OH WELL, here's your LUCKY NUMBERS!

5 1 28 36 45. 12

and

5 16 21 36 4. 26

Since winning the lottery is a major part of my retirement planning, do I need to buy both sets of numbers or do you have more confidence in one?

My Magic 8 Ball says "Maybe."

I love fortune cookies--at least the idea of them...Me and some friends made up a bunch we were gonna put in our own fortune cookies. That is a blast because twisting em turns out to be a lot more fun than the more generic stuff I usually find in the ones at the restaurants.

AND not only that, you can make sure that you get the EXACT fortune you want!

Although they still don't seem to work exactly right...

None of the fortune cookies I ever got actually had a fortune in it. Cheap paper when I want a pot of gold? C'mon, boys, let's get it together.

Can I sue for false advertising?

Did you not know that fortune cookie papers are legal tender in China!? I'm saving mine up so one day I'll be able to buy that cheap pair of clear plastic sandals I've always wanted.
