I don't know if I've ever mentioned this--

but BOY I really hate having to do anything at the Jefferson County Revenue Department.

Talk about giving civil servants a bad name!

Off to lunch now.

I am always surprised when I have to go do business with the licensing department in Ogden. They are quick, pleasant and knowledgeable, surprising attributes for folks in a tough place to work. We even have drive-up renewal service, which I find particularly easy to use.

Having your papers in order does help.

Somehow the JeffCo Rev Dept cannot get it through their heads that we moved to Blount County quite some time ago.

Neither can the Dept that calls you for jury duty.

Nate, I'm glad someone has a good one. Ours wouldn't be so bad if they would do just a bit better job of letting people know what the procedures are, and not instituting all sorts of departmental paperwork rules that aren't actually required by law. I've bought 10 cars in the past fifteen years, and it's something different every single time I go in for something. Grr.

I feel for you Miss Rural--somehow, I imagine it's easier to get things done in Blount County than here.

Yes, and the lines are lots shorter too!

BTW it's Mrs. Rural. :)

I know--it's just an affectionate affectation I apply to all you womanly-sorts equally. I call Miss Reba "Miss Reba" even though she's married to me.
